APM Thames Valley Network: Agentic PMO — Smaller Teams, Smarter Delivery
Traditional PMOs are broken. 70% of large projects overrun budget or schedule. PMO overhead consumes 10–15% of project budget. Risks are discovered after they materialise. Knowledge leaves when people do. Agentic PMO is a different approach — three AI agents (Plan, Monitor, Alert) that generate, track, and flag project data autonomously, augmented by domain packs that encode industry-specific knowledge. The result: a 3-person team does the work of a 10+ person PMO. In this session, Prashant Nikam will introduce the Agentic PMO architecture, demonstrate a live project generation from brief to full WBS, and walk through the two deployment models — standalone for SME projects and intelligence-layer integration alongside Primavera P6 for large capital programmes. Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of how AI agents are reshaping project management and a practical framework for evaluating their own PMO maturity.
Presentation Structure:
1. The Problem — Why Traditional PMOs Fail
• 70% of large projects overrun. PMO overhead at 10–15%.
• Reactive risk management. Knowledge silos.
2. What Is Agentic PMO?
• Three AI agents: Plan (generates 100+ tasks from a brief), Monitor (deterministic rule checks), Alert (severity escalation).
• Domain packs — pre-built industry intelligence (EPC, Industry 4.0, Green Methanol, SAF).
3. Live Demo
• From project brief → WBS generation → monitoring rules → live alerts.
• Gujarat Green Methanol Plant demo: 52 tasks, 5 milestones, 6 active risks, 5 alerts.
4. Two Deployment Models
• Standalone: Agentic PMO as primary PM tool for SME projects.
• Intelligence Layer: Sits alongside Primavera P6 / MS Project via custom integration (8-12 day build).
5. Humans vs AI — Who Does What
• Humans: stakeholder trust, qualitative judgement, escalation decisions.
• AI agents: generation, comparison, flagging, reporting.
• Result: 3-4 person team replaces 10-14 person PMO.
6. Q&A and Discussion
Target Audience:
PMO directors, project managers, programme managers, engineering VPs, IT architects, transformation leads - anyone responsible for project delivery at scale.

Speakers:
Prashant Nikam - Founder, AI Native Organisations
Creator — 10-Dimension AI-Native Maturity Model
Alumni: Cranfield University (MSc), LSE (Executive Education)
Prashant Nikam is the founder of AI Native Organisations and creator of the Agentic PMO platform. He developed the 10-dimension AI-native maturity model — a framework for assessing organisational readiness across strategy, workflows, knowledge, data, people, governance, technology, trust, economics, and learning. His work bridges AI adoption with organisation design, focusing on how enterprises can move from tactical AI deployment to genuinely AI-native operating models.
Prashant writes on AI-native governance, the future of project management, and the convergence of human-led machine intelligence with industrial delivery. He is an alumnus of Cranfield University (MSc) and the London School of Economics (Executive Education).
