APM Republic of Ireland Network - MetroLink: Ireland’s Megaproject
MetroLink is a major transformative and critical piece of new public transport infrastructure, the first of its kind in Ireland. This ‘megaproject’ will consist of a fully automated, high-capacity, high-frequency 19km railway, most of which will be underground, featuring 16 new stations and connecting southern Dublin with the city centre, the airport, and the Swords area to the north. This complex, ambitious project is intended to combat congestion, enable sustainable urban development and support Ireland’s economic growth and climate objectives.
The session will provide an insightful overview of the MetroLink project, its benefits, its challenges, scope of works, the variety of construction methodologies that will be used, and will be of great interest to professionals involved in project management, construction, and anyone interested in the delivery of complex megaprojects.
