APM & ICCPM Executive Leadership Forum 2026

Artificial Intelligence is rapidly changing the way projects are planned, governed and delivered. Yet the most successful complex projects continue to depend on distinctly human capabilities including judgement, leadership, stakeholder engagement, ethics, communication and decision-making under uncertainty.
APM's latest project management skills research* highlights a growing concern that organisations may overvalue technical AI capability while undervaluing the human skills that remain critical to project success. The research suggests that future project professionals will need to become orchestrators of intelligence, combining human expertise with AI-enabled insight rather than replacing one with the other. Similarly, ICCPM's international roundtable research into data analytics and AI in complex projects found that while machines excel at processing vast amounts of data and identifying patterns, human judgement, sensemaking, ethics and leadership remain essential for navigating ambiguity, uncertainty and complexity. Together, these findings point to a future where project professionals successfully integrate the strengths of both human and artificial intelligence.
This exclusive APM and ICCPM leadership forum will bring together leaders from across government, infrastructure, defence, construction, energy and transport sectors to explore:
How do we successfully integrate AI into complex projects while strengthening rather than weakening human capability?
