APM London Network, co-hosted by APM AI & Data Analytics Interest Network: Christmas Crackers or Crystal Balls? AI and the Future of the Professions
Four leading voices. Three professions. One big question: is AI a Christmas cracker or a crystal ball? Join APM, RICS and ICE for practical insights, live debate and bold predictions for 2027.
AI promises to transform how projects are designed, managed and delivered—but what is genuine change, and what is just seasonal sparkle?
Join Martin Paver, Dr Bola Abisogun OBE and Bill Guo FICE, alongside Mark Barnett, for an evening of sharp insights, real-world examples and bold predictions for 2027. Together, they will explore the future project team, trusted information, engineering practice, professional skills and responsible AI.
Martin Paver will examine AI-driven roles and the future project team. Dr Bola Abisogun OBE will use Project IIRIS to explore trusted information, safety and insurability. Bill Guo FICE will consider responsible AI adoption and the future civil engineer. Mark Barnett, Lead of APM’s AI & Data Analytics Interest Network, will join the panel online to contribute perspectives on governance, ethics, professional development, skills and capability building.
Expect practical insights, challenging discussion and four leading voices separating the Christmas crackers from the crystal balls. What better early Christmas present for anyone who wants to understand where AI is really taking our professions?
