Peel Ports Group is one of the UK’s leading port operators.  It’s acquisition of the Mersey Docks and Harbour Company in 2005 made it the owner, operator and custodian of The Port of Liverpool.

The Port of Liverpool is described as “a gateway to global trade” by Peel Ports Group, emphasising its role as a part of the UK’s critical national infrastructure and in enabling international supply chains between countries and continents.

This event will include speakers on the past, present and future of the Port of Liverpool, its projects and its journey to be Net Zero for 2040, together with a tour of the Port of Liverpool including a short visit to one of its live project sites.

Hear from Jon Hassett, Deputy Port Director for Port of Liverpool, about the port, its operation, and its plans for growth in what is a dynamic economic environment.

Shaun McKenna, Peel Port Group’s Head of Sustainability, will tell us how Peel Port’s is striving for Net Zero by 2040 including it’s role out of Solar PV across Port of Liverpool. 

Martin Mookerji, Group Head of Programme Management will talk about how the Peel Ports Projects team is working to deliver projects, at pace to meet the port’s growth plans.

Take a bus tour of the Port of Liverpool, including a visit to the T2 Container Terminal, and a visit to the Alexandra Dock Warehouse Project.

IMPORTANT:

• Attendees must bring a suitable form of ID (UK driving license or passport) in order to be issued with Visitor Passes.  Visitor Passes will be issued at the Logistics Building
• Attendees must bring their own three-point PPE - Steel Toe Cap Boot, Hi Visit Jacket (Orange or Yellow) and Hard Hat. The Port of Liverpool is not able to provide this equipment and it is required to move around the site.  Attendees will be provided with protective gloves and eye protection should that be required for elements of the site tour.
• Any attendees who what to leave either after the presentation or after the tour will need to wait for the coach transport back to the designated car park
